I am running PCSX2 1.4.0, and I applied the 60 FPS patch for Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix. I have cheats turned on and I can definitely see the difference in terms of framerate, however I have run into a problem.The game is playing at double speed! Most of the complaints I see people talk about is that their game slows down due to 60 FPS (most likely because their computer cannot handle it). However, in my case, the framerate is at 60 FPS, but everything is moving at double the speed.I didn't realize it until about 2 hours in, when my party died ridiculously fast compared to when I played this game on my friend's PS3. So, is there any way for this game to run at 60 FPS, but actually become playable?

Obviously it's not a big deal very early on, but it will become a big deal later. That is for Kingdom Hearts 2: Final Mix, unfortunately. However, the code for Kingdom Hearts 1: Final Mix was there as well.

I also know for a fact it's running at double speed because the gummi ship levels are running at double speed.Would there be certain settings that could impact it? I'm not sure if that's the best forum, since there is next to no discussion about the first Final Mix, since the thread is for Kingdom Hearts 2: Final Mix.Maybe I'll explain this since I've tested with some settings. It's a lot more complicated than I thought. It's not truly double speed, only the animations are double speed.The sound is correct, me moving around and my actions seem correct (speed wise), but it feels as if the enemies and the background are moving at double the speed.

This is a mildly out of the way copy of it, since i don't know where a file with 'JUST' the patch is, but this huge widescreen patch folder has a 'useful cheats' section and that worked for me. Only issues I noticed are the known ones, gravity is a hair off and feels a little faster, gummi ship gun is super fast which makes the missions so much easier(thank god, screw that crap in KH1), and 2 of the trinity colors crash the game. Workaround for the crashes are to save at REAL SAVE SPOTS and reboot the game with cheats off. Always note you can't toggle cheats with save states, the save state keeps the game at whatever cheats were in use when you saved regardless if you have them on still or not.

I tested this file against Sephiroth which is pretty simple to tell if timing is screwy, and I couldn't notice any speed issues. Actually got farther into the fight than i normally do with no items. Sorry again for the file with more than what you wanted, but at least that file is nice to have for other titles anyway!.

Birth by Sleep is a prequel to the first Kingdom Hearts game, taking place ten years prior.
